Coverage Highlights

The Rockingham Traditional Program is designed for new ventures, risks without current coverage, or have had a recent lapse in coverage. After one full year in this program, clients can be quoted and renewed in the Contractors Advantage Program.

General Contractors

Provides general liability coverage for small to medium-sized General Contractors within the approved territory. This includes the following types of residential General Contractors with less than $15,000,000 in annual receipts and less than $3,000,000 for any given project; commercial General Contractors with less than $45,000,000 in annual receipts and less than $15,000,000 for any given project:

  1. Residential Home Builders
  2. General Contractors involved in residential or commercial remodeling and tenants’ improvements.
  3. Commercial Builders

Artisan Contractors

Provides general liability coverage for small to medium‐sized Artisan Contractors within the approved territory. This includes residential and commercial contractors involved in new construction and service/repair/remodel work with less than $10,000,000 in annual receipts, less than $2,000,000 in annual construction payroll.

Risks that have any one of the following characteristics are not eligible for this program:

  1. Work on new condominiums, townhouses, or tract homes with over twenty-five (25) units at any time in the development
  2. Work on occupied student housing
  3. Remodeling/repair work on senior housing, assisted living facilities or retirement homes
  4. Any structural work including, grading and excavation, on slopes of greater than thirty (30) degrees. Retaining wall may not exceed six (6) feet in height, or excavation over six (6) ft deep
  5. Sales, installation, service or repair of automatic fire extinguishing systems, boilers, elevators, escalators, surveillance systems or TV monitoring systems, either commercial or residential
  6. Sales, installation service or repair of wood, coal or waste oil-burning stoves
  7. Removal or installation of asbestos insulation or asbestos containing material, fungus, molds, or installation of insulation materials other than fiberglass, rock wool, or plastic
  8. Sales or application of chemicals such as herbicides or pesticides unless incidental application of “over-thecounter” herbicides or pesticides on lawns under the insured’s regular care
  9. Work for petroleum, industrial, or chemical facilities
  10. Operations/work on or for airport, elevator, environmental remediation, railroad, swimming pool construction, traffic lights, underground tanks, skylights, or EIFS
  11. Utility/Main Line fiber optic cable work or installation
  12. Tunneling
  13. Any work on the exterior of buildings exceeding three (3) stories in height
  14. General Contractors who have been personally bankrupt or the principal in a company that has been bankrupt within the past three (3) years
  15. Recreational or playground construction
  16. Contractors where any officer, owner, or partner has been indicted or convicted of the crime of fraud, bribery, or arson
  17. Risks involved in demolition of structures exceeding one (1) story in height, and/or demolition of any structure by wrecking ball or explosives
  18. Any contractor involved in foundation repair, stabilization and/or retrofitting

  1. Currently valued loss runs for the past three (3) years are required when premium is above $5k and a signed no loss letter for accounts under $5k.
  2. A signed contractor’s supplemental application must be completed within ten (10) days of binding.

  • Provides General Liability coverage for small to medium-sized general and artisan contractors

  • New ventures allowed

  • Current coverage not required

  • Risks with losses may be eligible
